French’s Point & founding member of the Maine Wedding Planner Cooperative and Maine Wedding Venue Cooperative.

In a word Jessika is committed. She’s committed to excellence, to collaboration and to her fellow wedding professionals. As owner and proprietor of the French’s Point, she’s also an experienced member of the Maine wedding community. Her background in hospitality, business, and social services makes her uniquely qualified to work with a broad range of clients and colleagues. Jessika uses her (admittedly) geeky passion for statistics, her thorough market research, and her careful analysis of trends in the wedding industry to more accurately meet the needs of today’s wedding couples. With four children, a small staff, a premier wedding destination and an eye on the future, Jessika models for others what it means to be a striving entrepreneur and active small business owner.

Career Bio:
Jessika Brooks-Brewer is the CEO of French’s Point, a 14 acre private estate property and wedding destination located on historic French’s Point in mid-coast, Maine.

Jessika was a co-leader with her father Robert Brooks, in the acquisition, subdivision, and development of the properties, which were acquired in 2001. Jessika lead the redesign and restoration of Beach Rose Farm accommodations in 2002 & French’s Point Estate venue in 2005. She was instrumental in conducting marketing research and analysis that successfully positioned the restored properties to be one of Maine’s premiere, private rental estates available for weddings and events.

It serves clientele throughout the USA and international markets. She operates a matrix/data driven business with a focus on ensuring the longevity of this family legacy business.

Jessika successfully led the company through the financial crash, repositioning it in a changed market place and driving tactical growth plans that preserved its financial and market position. The Company continues on a five-year growth trajectory and executed two high-value, revenue growth projects in 2013 which have proven to be successful at increasing French’s Point’s market share in the luxury wedding event industry in Maine.

Recently, Jessika’s efforts have broadened to include the formation of two groups of individuals: The Maine Wedding Planner Cooperative and the Maine Wedding Venue Cooperative. Jessika knows these groups are the two main entry points for couples planning weddings in Maine & these groups play a key role in the overall health of the Maine wedding industry. She has formed these groups in an effort to promote community, information sharing, and education to help elevate Maine as a wedding location in the luxury market.

Before her involvement with French’s Point, Jessika began her working career in fine dining and catering which sparked her interest in the events industry. Jessika attended the University of Vermont and University of Rochester. Through the study abroad program, Jessika also spent time at Trinity College in Ireland and Stirling University in Scotland. She graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business. After graduation, Jessika worked as a social worker and then returned to her roots in the hospitality industry. Jessika lives in Stockton Springs and Damariscotta, Maine, with her husband Frederick and her four small children.
